LOI_ CFNEG 2020 Grant Cycle

Description:

THE CFNEG GENERAL GRANT CYCLE IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED AS ALL AVAILABLE RESOURCES ARE BEING DIRECTED TOWARD EMERGENCY FUNDING RELATED TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. WE WILL SEND OUT A COMMUNICATION TO ALL ORGANIZATIONS IMPACTED IF THE GRANT CYCLE IS OPENED AGAIN FOR FUNDING. WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS HAS CAUSED.

Welcome to the Community Foundation's 2020 General Grant Cycle!

In order to achieve the greatest impact, the 2020 areas of focus are: Homelessness, Food Insufficiency, Healthcare and Education. Only organizations which address those issues will be considered.

Organizations may apply for grants up to $25,000.  Grant funds must be used for capacity building or capital expenses. We are not able to fund salaries with general grants.

Impact grants awarded (greater than $5,000) will be matching challenge grants.  A challenge grant allows your organization to leverage the Community Foundation grant to raise additional funds. For Example: A 2:1 challenge grant pays your organization $1 for every $2 you raise in new money, effectively making a $10,000 grant worth $30,000 to your bottom line. If requested, your organization should have the necessary capacity to raise the challenge funds prior to June 1, 2021.

Requests which include collaboration among similar organizations are encouraged.
